Casualty

Driving across the country - in monsoon like conditions - the verges are greening up, the parched, golden look of the heatwave disappearing.  Some things are beyond repair and others beyond the point of no return.   Outside our overnight stop this  shrub is clinging on to life for now at least.

We met up with Ruth and all went out for a long and delicious lunch.   I took my camera but like a lemon, did not use it!   There'll be other days.
