Look up ahead!

A fine sunny day for our onward circumnavigation of the IJsselmeer, the last great challenge of our time. But we’re in no rush, which is just as well as we soon came across a vast multi-artist sound installation in the woods near Bakhuzen. Rubbish, actually. The flowers were beautiful though.
On to Lemmer and a delightful local outlet called Lidl to pick up lunch and watch the boats. But after that it was a bit downhill - err not literally - as the wind came round to the south and MrT began to flag. And the countryside got verrreeee boring indeed. So, at small town called Ossenzijl we called a halt. Tinnies to celebrate my birthday, but no cake! And after an eat out served by a surly local Frau, as we arrived back at the tents, it started chucking it down again. With some high winds thrown in for good measure. Good measure is always thrown in. So we’ve yet to have a sit out under the stars and enjoy a midnight tonic. (All together): things can only get better
