Blackwell House

A beautiful art nouveau house, with architecture and design by Bailie Scott, for the Holt family in 1900. Stunning furniture, beautiful oak detailing and wonderful stained glass windows. This view from the drawing room was a favourite. Met up with some snowboard friends in the cafe before walking around the house: two of which live in Ambleside and two of whom happened, by complete coincidence, to be staying with an uncle in the house next door!
