Hedgerow larder

Walked the lovely Rail Trail from Goathland to Grosmont today. The hedgerows were heavily laden, the apple trees were numerous and with many apples, never seen so many haws, and the elderberries were calling out to be picked and the sloes.... well I might just have to make some sloe gin. It looks like a bumper harvest this autumn.
