Eagle-Eye

I was in Northampton town centre today and came across a wonderful display of birds of prey (from Icarus Falconry based at Holdenby House, Northants).

It was a marvellous opportunity to be almost nose-to-beak with such beautiful creatures; this is the Eurasian Eagle Owl which can have a wing span of around 6 feet (approx 182cm) when mature, with a weight of about 4.2 kg.
