Tree House

We headed up to Shropshire today for a few days break. We stopped on the way at the Croome, a National Trust property near Worcester, for a walk in the gardens, landscaped by Capability Brown.

I'm pretty confident he didn't have anything to do with this mock classical construction built around the trunk of this tree but it makes for an eye-catching talking point. The church on the hill is part of the estate.

I reckon this qualifies as a piece of art for this week's Wide Wednesday challenge.

We walked around the lake (in extras) then stopped for lunch in the cafe, which was originally one of the buildings that made up RAF Defford during the war, before carrying onto Shifnal where ware staying.

We had a swim and jacuzzi inthe hotel's leisure centre and have just returned from a meal in one of the local pubs.

The plan is to spend the day in Ironbridge tomorrow.
