Christmas time is here again

It's officially Christmas in Stafford!
Tonight was the big Christmas lights switch on and fireworks extravaganza in town, by none other than Raymond Briggs' The Snowman -assisted by the Staffordshire Olympic torch bearers for some reason.

For a split second I thought we were going to make the national news. The first firework went off at a weird angle straight on to the roof of the Guildhall. Thankfully that first rocket was on a wire to set off the main firework display...either that or it was a very lucky coincidence.
