Now, as I see it......

Up the Downs

A nice morning on Dunstable Downs. We did a circular walk up to Ivinghoe Beacon where the views are amazing, and then carried on along the ridge before cutting down into the valley and back up to where we had parked the car. It wasn't a long walk but it was certainly a strenuous one, as the beacon is the highest point in the east of England and the walk involved a few steep slopes, both up and down. Certainly showed up the fitness levels!

Afterwards we called at the Pitstone Windmill which we could walk up to, but not see inside as it is only open on Sundays. I used that as the main Blip, but I've added a couple of extras; one showing a hill we'd just walked down (and had a taller and steeper one behind us to walk back up) and another showing a view from the top of the beacon. Sadly, a photograph cannot convey how good the view actually is.
