This very handsome fellow, a Hebridean Sheep was at the rare breeds farm in Fort Augustus. My husband somewhat dragged his heels about coming here since he thought it wouldn't be very good but I insisted as I thought there would be at least some nice ducks and geese to photograph. In fact it is an excellent place. Do not be put off by the "childrens farm" signs or the faded plastic pinwheels stuck to trees on the way down the path to the entrance. A huge feathery chicken (called Charlie) greeted us at the entrance and there were goats, sheep of different kinds, deer, highland cattle, birds of many different feathers. The turkeys were really cute. I very much recommend a visit if you are in Fort Augustus.
