Push

Spent another day at the Track World Cup today. Another great day of cycling excitement and lots of opportunities to take photos. This is Jess Varnish getting a push start from GB Sprint Coach Iain Dyer in the qualifying round of the Women's Sprint. Jess Varnish went on to reach the final but was beaten by Kristina Vogel of Germany who was in great form.

Absolutely amazing to have such a quality field racing in Glasgow in such a great venue - hopefully it will be a big boost to Scottish cycling long term. Didn't get a ticket for the final day, but looking forward to trying to get some for the Junior World Championship which will be held here in August 2013.

If you've never been to watch track cycling I highly recommend going along if you ever get the chance - its very exciting and there is always something going on somewhere in the velodrome.
