Tea and cake for uncle David

A few weeks ago my Uncle David passed away after a long battle with cancer, he was married to my mothers sister Bonnie for 58 years, he didn’t want a funeral or any fuss of any kind but Bonnie and Sophie felt the need to do something so they arranged a wonderful tea and cake afternoon and a chance to view David’s wonderful paintings, I found it incredibly moving looking around his studio and his desk, everything as he left it. It was a lovely afternoon but I’m very sad.
