Telephone Booths by Richard Estes (1967)

Saw this amazing painting at the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid years ago. Loved it so much, the postcard's been on the wall next to where I write ever since. Busy writing today, so no time to go out blipping - hence the substitute.

Extra: Wikipedia reveals the artist is called Richard Estes, not Ricard as I mis-spelled initially. He's an American realist painter, still alive today. Turns out Telephone Booths is one of his most famous works. He's not to be mistaken for his namesake Richard Despard Estes, who is a wildebeest expert. [A wildebeest expert? Now I'm even more intrigued.]
