Mono Monday . . . Comfort Zone

My comfort zone is my home.  The dinning table usually has flowers from the garden.
The other place I find comfort is a book.  This book is Forty Autumns by Nina Willner.  It is a memoir of a family who at the end of WW11 find their village is in East Germany.  I found it an incredible story that made the history I knew personal.  An arbitrary boarder meant they had to live in a communist state and that state builds a wall to keep its citizens in.  One daughter takes the dangerous journey to West Germany.  It is her daughter who is the author.
Thank you Ellaphant for hosting.
