Mono Monday - Comfort Zone

I was looking around at my comfort zones and they aren’t very photogenic so i’ve gone with the local Ibis’s comfort zone ;o)

Some of them make very big nests and usually two or three mothers will lay eggs in the same nest. Most of the babies have now hatched for this season and that smallish one on the right is probably just a few weeks old, they seem to grow so quickly! Doesn’t he look like a little dinosaur living the dream in his comfort zone in the big nest!! :o))

In extras is a long shot of part of the lake area. On the left is one of the big paperbark trees on the little island. The nests are all through the trees on the island and currently not many of the babies have fledged so the mothers go to that little area on the right for a bit of respite and to grab a mouthful of food and constantly fly back and forth from there to the nest all day to feed the babies.

Big thanks to Ellaphant for hosting MM ;o))xx
