Epsom racecourse

I was thwarted last week when I wanted to take a picture of the racecourse because there was a race meeting. No crowds today, but there were plenty of people up there enjoying the wide open space. We sat for a while watching families playing in the sun. There were two little boys taking it in turns on a bicycle and they were very competent. We watched a shiny crisp packet being blown at high speed across the grass until it was almost out of sight. It was closely followed by a little boy and we were delighted when he caught it. He brought it back to Mum, but when they packed up to go home she threw it away, the only piece of litter on the downs. Dreadful example to set for her children. After they left, Normous went and collected it and we put it in the bin on our way home!
We had stopped off on our way back from the hospital where I had been for the results of last week's tests. All good news, come back in six months!
