Day 246/18. Bergen, Norway

A day in Bergen today, and once again we are lucky with the weather. It's supposted to rain 250+ days per year, we have visited twice now and not a drop of rain both times!!
The Bryggen area of Bergen contains a series of Hanseatic commercial buildings (built after a big fire around 1702) lining the eastern side of the Vågen harbour, close to the city centre. These colourful wooden houses on the old wharf and were once a center of a trading empire. Impressively while they are restoring these houses, a colourful sheet covers those under restoration to give the illusion of the finished buildings.

The extra image today is the same picture in Black and White, I cannot make up my mind which is better, so you get both.
