Your classic Orkney view - we love it :-) Either there has been a lot more sand dumped along this beach recently or there are exceptionally low tides (or both) as we've never seen the sandbank this far out before. It was lovely to walk out as far as the point where we normally see ducks bobbing about.

I took Dad out for lunch to somewhere he's not been before - which is quite hard to do, as he's been coming up for nearly 50 years! Anyway, this place has only been open a few months so, bingo!!

A beautiful day, the best sort of Orcadian weather. We are making the most of it, weeding the garden like mad, getting the grass back in hand and hitting a small white ball around ;-)
