Day 2

Ollie's paw is bothering him so we took him to the vet in Ullapool today.  Excellent service, Hamish deftly removed the nail completely, prescribed some antibiotics, told me to bandage it as before and keep it clean and dry.  Clean and dry!  Well, we shall do our best!  

We had a gentle wander round the town, and spied the Wylde Swan at the pier.  She is a beautiful tall ship, one you can sail on too, all over the world, living the life of a proper sailor the while!  Chatted to a chap who had been on several voyages on her and it sounded wonderful but you would have to be fit as it was hard work.

Spent the night at Stromeferry on the banks of Loch Carron.  A beautiful spot, over looking the water, high up in a wooded picnic area.  Other vans around but none too close.  Ever so wet in the evening and over night, Ollie had his boot on to try and keep his paw clean and dry . . .  failed!
