"Hey, dude,"

This pretty Californian poppy has popped up out of the gravel to give a lovely little surprise.

After walking the dogs with the lovely lady I returned home to find the tree surgeons, who are removing a couple of trees from my garden, back in the garden. It was virtually dark and about 8.30pm so not much tree surgery was likely. They had infact found a nest of bees living in one of the trees and had a bee keeper with them.

The plan is to remove the section of trunk with the nest in and take it away so that the bee keeper can, hopefully, transfer them to a hive and nurse them over winter. I thought that was very heart warming and a good reason to recommend them to anyone who needs tree work!!
