Breaking all my self-imposed rules about the subjects I post on blipfoto I've included a picture of Charlie.

Cute, fun, lively.

This morning Son #1 and tackled the buddleia. We managed to get most of it, all 12 feet or so, chopped and in the green wheelie bin. Son #1 was employed to jump up and down in the bin to compress the material and I had a bit of a go myself which, I am sure, will impress the new neighbours!

Just the stump and the roots to tackle now.

It's a sort of cheese on toast and feet in front of a roaring fire afternoon isn't it?

We've got some cheese and some bread but just need to get that chimney checked...

....and a grate....

...and a fire-guard
