Carentan race track - passing the post

The town of Carentan holds three race meetings in August.  

This is the last of the three, in dull weather: rain threatened, but none materialised.

The racetrack is close to the town canal, and occupies the part of town called "La Russie " - i.e. Russia.  In the Napoleonic Wars Russian prisoners of war were held captive here.
