Scapa Flow

We are bamboozled by the amount of warm blueness being poured down upon us.  The fulmars have never had to flap so much in this tranquil, still, warm air.  The dazzling glassy sea reflects infinity. Through the haze, lazily recumbent and shimmering on the horizon, are the Calf of Flotta, Hunda, Burray, South Ronaldsay and the barriers. Maybe it’s all a mirage.  Waves, storms, spume, salt spray are beyond imagining.
