Bales in the dutch barn

Preparation for when the sucklers come into the yards for the winter.  They will need several bales a week throughout as bedding.   The beef cattle have theirs stacked in the barn in the lower yard.  We were so lucky to be able to bale up so much straw this year after the drought.

Our agronomist called this morning and was pleased with the newly sown oil seed rape which is just sprouting and there are no slugs to be seen at the moment.

N and I went in to Yeovil this afternoon.  There was a lone piper in Middle Street playing to passers by, unfortunately I didn't have my camera.
