A small group to discuss From the Holy Mountain by William Dalrymple. A hefty tome, a travelogue based on the travels of a sixth century monk from Mount Athos. Beautifully written, very descriptive of the decline of Christianity, now 24 years ago so that the present day conditions are very different.
