A Lancashire skyline

Today was one of my regular trips back to my place of birth.

I decided to visit the street where I spent my first seven or so years. This photo was as close as I could approximate to the view from my parents' bedroom window at that time.(Except for the TV aerials, satellite dishes and other technological clutter.)

This is Stanley Street in Accrington, where the original 1891 football league team, Accrington Stanley, gained its name (after the local hostelry, only a few doors away from my childhood home, which hosted the original team).
