Blue Jay

Today was the first day back to school in Canada and for many also time to  go back to work after some summer vacation. I however have taken a couple of extra days off. I then got a chance to take a walk down to the lake at lunch hour. It was a very quite place today. This allowed for many birds to be out and around I had the cardinal, blue jay, red wing black bird chickadee and nuthatch around . I had the red wing black bird come to my hand for food for the firs time in a few weeks. See my extra shot. The blue jay spent  time stalking peanuts and took some time to pose. The only thing I did not do was bring enough food.
