Day 13

Set off early and were in St Monans by mid morning.  So lovely to be back, and to be able to spend some time with Shelagh again.  We've known each other for more than 40 years, and although we write and phone regularly, it's good to see each other too.  Lots of chatting and catching up, gentle walks with our two old dogs, seeing what's changed since our last visit, checking out the boats in the harbour.

We have had such a wonderful trip, so many new places and things to see, but It's so relaxing to be somewhere where everything is familiar, and you can just slot into the routine again.

Dinner at the East Pier, looking out over the sea.  Crab cakes for Mike and Shelagh, smoked duck for me!

Unfortunately Ollie was sick again in the evening, after his tea.  We decided not to risk the Aberdeen ferry tomorrow, which takes six hours, but to drive up to Gills Bay and take the one hour boat.  Leaving him in the camper for longer than necessary if he was still feeling poorly wouldn't be nice for any of us.
