Old tech

This is an old air traffic control radar (an airfield approach radar) outside the Signals Museum at RAF Henlow.  The museum is manned by volunteers and is full of old technology, the largest of which is this 1950s radar head (http://woottonbridgeiow.org.uk/decca-legacy/chapter6.php).

My late father-in-law worked on radar in the Second World War; as a result he had many parts, small and less small, which he collected over the years.  But he wouldn't visit this museum and talk old tech with the volunteers, for some reason.  After his death, my wife and I took the bits to the museum and they were pleased to receive most of them.

I can't think where the museum will go when Henlow is closed . . .
