Cumbria Here I Come

By marpaul

A trip to Buttermere this morning, but didn't walk around the lake.  That's a first!  Instead I thought it would be a good idea to do some uphill walking for a change, so the destination was Bleaberry Tarn, about half way to Red Pike.  It was a lot steeper and further than I thought but so worth it just for the stunning views.  Misty enjoyed a swim in the Tarn.  Been so hard to decide what to blip.  The main blip is Crummock Water, left and Buttermere right with the village in the middle.  Two more here and here

Enroute to Buttermere got goose bumps after seeing the aftermath of an accident in the mist on the A66.  A car had gone off the road and the driver was laying on the ground.  Lots of people in attendance.  He seemed ok!
