House Martins

This was amazing! The sky over my garden was filled with House Martins, the whole Cumbrian population!
They were all twittering away, and looking at the eaves of the house as if prospecting for nest sites for next year. I wonder if they have had a good breeding season and need more space?
They would be most welcome here!
