Winter warmth

Another chilly day in Edinburgh (goodness knows how I'll survive when the really cold weather arrives). We inherited this ancient Raeburn stove when we bought the house, and it means at least the kitchen is always cosy.

It also serves as a great clothes dryer. And it can be used to cook things too. The guage on the oven door seems to bear no relationship to the actual temperature inside the oven, so it's best to judge the temperature by opening the door, and if your eyebrows are singed, it's hot.
