Sea daffodil, Sardinia

Right in front of our hotel are sand dunes with lots of scrubby bushes planted to stabilise the sand.

There are also vast hosts of this white flower, the sea daffodil, Pancratium maritimum.

Also known as the sand daffodil, sand lily and lily of St Nicholas.

The bee is fortuitous- it photobombed my shot.

By the way, in case it had slipped your mind,
4'-Hydroxy-5,7-dimethoxy-8-methylflavan is a flavan found in P. maritimum.
