Sunshine & Showers

A head clearing wander up the hill over the stubble fields with Bro4 and the dogs with Belle posing beautifully and Jura running around my heels hoping for a biscuit.
Jura is ecstatic to be able to enjoy off lead exercise after a long 4 week lay off due to an elbow injury.
When we came home from holiday a month ago Jura was ridiculously excited and jumped about all over us for some considerable time. We can only assume this was when/how she badly sprained her elbow. She was lame on a front leg for the following few days with no sign of improvement despite total rest. Our vet put her on anti inflammatory meds for a week & rest. She didn’t improve and I was beginning to fear a long term problem. Our vet decided X-rays were in order to put both mine & his minds at ease, referred them to an orthopaedic specialist who advised 4 weeks of lead only short walks and wait and see because he wasn’t overly concerned at the X-rays.
Well, she’s now back to her usual bouncy self much to everyone’s relief. Phew!
