Out of the woods

Waternish point

For our last full day, we decided on a last hike, and the choices were either Quiraing (which I guessed would be packed with tourists due to the nice weather promised) or a 14 km coastal walk to Waternish point. I could persuade Lars for the latter and we got the most spectacular monday out of it. The path was easy and specked with good view to the Hebrides and the coastal cliffs.
At the lighthouse we got the full nature show, with herons, gulls, gannets fishing, seals sunbathing, and even a whale or two on the horizon.
Absolutely loved it, and this alone is reason enough to come back not only to Scotland but Skye also.
It has been the most fabulous week and I´m only more fond of this place on earth
