Norway Cruise Day 1

We had a comfortable night in Kirkenes and after a hearty breakfast and a quick walk around town (see the second extra), we headed over to board our home from home for the next few days, the ship MS Trollfjord. We set sail at lunchtime and headed for the sea (see extra 5). The ship stops frequently and mid-afternoon we stopped at Vardo where the main blip was taken (and the first extra). There were two further short stops this evening but we stayed aboard as both were very short. The sun took an age to set (see extra 3 for just how spectacular the sky was).

The ship is great: spacious, well equipped and never busy. We're going to sleep comfortably tonight.
