A Real Hero

Lance Sergeant Edward Smith's memorial was erected last month and stands opposite the house where he lived on the North Quay of Maryport Harbour. The memorial along with a plaque that explains how his heroism won him the VC and Two commemorative seats depicting the first world war, stand not so far from the aquarium.Images of the plaque and one seat are also downloaded
