Italian

We had an impromptu meal out last night - at an Italian in town called La Bruschetta.  Everyone receives some focaccia bruschetta when you sit down which was welcome, delicious and a taste of things to come.  Then we both had some pasta - proper hand-made - not the usual dried packet stuff we are so used to having at home.  T enjoyed his pasta with a rich Bolognese sauce and I had a beautiful pesto and potato sauce.  The flavour of the herbs was just divine.  We had a couple of coffees after our food and were both given a complimentary dessert pastry which was so indulgent I really should have asked to purchase some to take home!  As if that was not enough, our server then gave us a glass of Limoncello each and then the three of us discussed her home town, Puglia.  Our bellies pleasantly full, we walked home discussing how good it would be to do a 'foodie' tour of Italy.  Maybe one day...
