My Year in Pictures

Day Two: France 2018

Backblipped 8th Sept

After a fabulous nights sleep we headed off to explore Dijon!

Parked up in the centre and set off on The Owl Trail – a route of brass plaques (see extras) marked on the pavements that you follow around all the different sights - and a completely brilliant way of discovering all the main parts of Dijon. So many beautiful buildings and streets – in particular the Église Notre-Damewhich was amazing (and where the original owl is situated).

We saw so much (and walked so much!) and thankfully it was a beautiful day – particularly as we discovered it was the last day of the annual Les Fêtes de la vigne and there was all sorts of fun taking place in the centre – including a parade of all the different regions of France – and we ended up by the Polynesian contingent!! (see extras).

I took way too many pictures of all the fabulous buildings and really struggled to pick one for my blip (and keep the extras to a minimum!) – this one won the blip spot though and a couple of close contenders are also in extras.

Had a cheeky beer before heading back to our hotel and the most amazing pizza for dinner!
