Bristol

Today is the last day of our mini-break to Bath and we set off early to Bristol to spend a little time in the city before heading off home.

The docklands and harbour in Bristol have been 'regenerated' as with so many cities, such as Cardiff and Hull. Full of cafes, art centres, open plazas, and of course expensive apartment blocks. We walked around the area which still has a touch of the old mixed in with the new, including the famous SS Great Britain built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

After coffee at No.1 Harbourside we took off into the city centre for a wander. Walking aimlessly, we went through the old Bristol Gate and stumbled upon the most wonderful exhibition of Street Art I have ever seen. An entire street had been used as an easel for a number of street artists, taking in the surrounding buildings, on an enormous scale. Today's photos are just two of the examples on display. I knew Bristol was the UK centre for Graffiti, or Street, Artists, and was so pleased to have found some of their work.
