Hot Day...Cold Drink

We went to the Hermitfest Music Festival today over the top of Ebbetts Pass at about 7,000 feet in the Eastern Sierra mountains. A free concert with various bands performing throughout the afternoon and evening. The temperature in Arnold was mid-90s, at the festival it was mid 70s. A lot of photo opportunities here - it feels a bit like Woodstock for the over 50s crowd, but a. lot of fun and decent music. All the music is provided by local bands - probably bands you never heard of like Ten Dollar Pony or the Bill Wells Band, but talented people and good music and a very lively crowd of over 300 people. tough to make it as a musician anywhere, but especially in mountain communities without a lot of people or venues to play in.

The only downside is that it all plays out on a dirt area where a gust of wind means that dust blows up everywhere. Time to clean my camera and lens when we got back to our home,
