A Visit to Lambeth Palace Garden

Once a month the Archbishop's garden-just across the river from the Houses of Parliament and next to The Garden Museum is opened to the public.  In fact today was the last opening of the season.
Mum and I travelled up on the number 3 bus in beautiful sunshine, and had a super day out at the garden.  The garden has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, the jazz band was playing, refreshments were being served and the garden itself has some beautiful and very historic plants.  This includes a 5oo year old fig tree.
The extra is of a squirrel on a very old Plane Tree who we noticed as we drank our tea.
