A. Aalto

Yhtymä-Tahlo, a local company that has earth moving equipment, lorries etc. celebrated their 50th anniversary in our farming and household society clubhouse. Food was great, and there was enough of it. The same goes for beverages. Lots of local people there, so no lack of company.

When it was time for the band to stand in, it was a pleasant surprise. It was A. Aalto (formerly known as A. Aallon Rytmiorkesteri), a local band. The guitarists (on the edges, not the singer with the hat) are brothers and they are from Ylöjärvi, the others are (I think) from neighbouring Nokia. The band had a lot of success in the 90's (five gold records), but although they haven't recorded very often since, they have kept touring more or less regularly, and they still are a great party band. The guitarists played some of their first gigs on this very stage in their teens, so it was quite nostalgic for them as well.

In the extras:
#1 One of the presents
#2 The drummer
#3 The band playing the last song before midnight (and encore)
