Early light

Not quite first thing this morning, it was 8am, but Bonny the Bantam was still abed, despite Ollie's best efforts to rouse her by sticking his head in her door!  She is quite likely to peck him, as she is definitely the dominant partner in their relationship!

Ollie is so much better on the Gabapentin.  Brighter, more alert and moving better so they are obviously helping with the pain.

A lovely light, there were dark clouds gathering, and they came and went for most of the day.  We did a lot of heavy work at H's, moving furniture and forking rotten haylage, but then had an exciting, good fast ride up the hill afterwards.   Great fun and just what was needed to blow away any cobwebs!

Made strawberry jam this evening.  The deep freeze was full so I decided to use up some of the fruit to make space.  I had already thawed the strawberries when I mentioned that this is what I was planning to B&J.  J immediately offered us their no longer used spare freezer!  So now I have masses of room to freeze even more of the never ending runner beans!

Extra is of a bush full of sparrows in B&J's garden, taken through the window.  Their garden is a haven for all sorts of birds and wildlife.
