Waiting for calmer seas

Walking from Carnoustie to Arbroath. This is the first time we've done this walk at low tide, and we walked the whole way on the beach - perhaps 8km.

Mrs P spotted this unusual boat in Arbroath harbour. Looking on the internet afterwards, I see that it's Andy Hodgson's attempt to row solo around Great Britain. He started in London in May and should be headed down the east coast on the home straight now.

His website says that he isn't going to step ashore, so I guess he was sleeping on the boat and sheltering from the bad weather. It was pretty windy today.
