Don't look back!

This is a quail chick, hatched from an egg and the latest member of the family menagerie. Sadly the chick hatched from the other egg did not survive.
This little chap is now in a cage in the kitchen and is happy as long as he can see someone in the room but cheep reapetdly if he is left on his own. Just our luck to have an attention seeking quail.
The picture above has a poster of James Dean in the background. The poster depicts the deceased actor striding down a rain soaked Road smoking a cigarette. It belongs to my daughter who keeps saying that she will collect it. I think it makes a good backdrop to the lonesome quail.
Today I am thankful for some homemade cookies, time to read and a good chat with my dad.
