What's That on the Tree Stump

Could it be a European Turtle or just a pet that someone has grown tired of and released into the Gouille? If It is a European turtle then it is rare as they were extinct in Switzerland till they were reintroduced in 2010.

Thanks to so many of you who have looked at the backblips posted of the Ascent of the Muveran the Last 2 days ... I have been a bit tired today!
