Daybreak and Oak Trees

Morning has broken
Like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken
Like the first bird
Praise for the singing
Praise for the morning
Praise for them springing
Fresh from the world....

If I had gotten up five minutes earlier I would have gotten fiery red skies  (as evidenced by a picture taken by OilMan) but I liked the calmness of color and laciness of branches in this shot. It brought to mind the hymn which I imagine was sung by many a British school child, but which I first heard in 1971 on an album called 'Tea for the Tillerman' by Cat Stephens (latterly known as Yusuf Islam). I loved it then and I still love it....

Simple pleasures are more important now than ever....
