Dahlia Color

Osuzanna and I decided to risk a few rain drops to get together for one of our photo sessions.  Aside from looking forward to the fresh air, we had a lot to catch up on.  We had plastic over our lenses for awhile, but the lack of sunshine was perfect for capturing the saturated colors of the dahlias.  We've photographed hummingbirds there before, and sure enough, they were enjoying the Lion's Ear flowers.  Between sips they rested on the wire fence, giving us a great view of their tiny little bodies.  I couldn't resist posting a shot as an extra.

A big thank you to Anni for hosting the flower challenge!
