Party II Party

You know what it's like, you wait ages for a birthday party then two come along at once. Today was one of those days. Expatmama's littlest one just turned one and we were invited along to help celebrate the landmark birthday. Miss A and Little D were really excited at the prospect, although Little D overshot his nap so we were running late (as ever). It was a lovely party with close friends so it was a great opportunity for a catch up over a glass of Prosecco while the kids enjoyed rummaging through someone elses' toy box and stuffing their faces full of scrummy chocolate owl cupcakes. This is the birthday boy's chocolately fingers, he clearly enjoyed his birthday cake too!

From one party to another...We bundled our chocolate-smeared children into the car and headed to Falkirk and my cousin's 30th birthday party. The kids slept in the car so I thought they'd be raring to go when we got there, which Little D pretty much was. Miss A was rather confused, however, asking where all the toys were. Perhaps not quite the party she was envisaging. She was also pretty shattered and kept asking if she could go to bed. Let's just say it was a short-lived party. We said a quick hello/goodbye to the relatives, dragged Little D off the dance floor and headed home.
Perhaps we'll just stick to one party a day for a while.
