Common Darter

Many thanks to everyone who commented on my 2,500th blip yesterday.

Back to earth today. I set off to the Ashdown Forest this morning hoping to find a Black Darter as I haven't seen one this year. Alas i couldn't find any but there were quite a few Common Darters around and even a late flying Emperor. This is the very well camouflaged female common darter, quite an old one judging by the dull colouration and the appearance of red markings on the medial line.
